B’On Financial Services Limited : Case No 1804
Background
B’On Financial Services Limited (B’On) was placed into voluntary receivership on 22 December 2009 owing approximately $29 million to approximately 86 investors.
After considering a complaint received from the receivers, BDO Spicers, the Director determined that an investigation into the affairs of B’On may disclose serious or complex fraud.
An investigation under Part II of the Serious Fraud Office Act was commenced on 28 January 2010.

21 February 2012
The trial for Jacqueline Bradley is due to commence in the Auckland District Court on 6 August 2012. Prior to the trial commencing there will be a judicial conference on 6 June 2012 to confirm the trial arrangements.
25 July 2011
Jacqueline Bradley appeared in the Auckland District Court for an administrative hearing on 25 July 2011. She was remanded on bail until 11 October 2011 for the first callover after the filing of the indictment. Also, on 25 July 2011, all charges filed again Michael Bradley were withdrawn due to his unexpected death.

Due to unforseen circumstances, the matter has been adjourned until 11 July 2011 when Mrs Bradley will next appear.

The next appearance for Michael John Bradley and Jacqueline Lyndsay Bradley is scheduled for 9 May 2011. This is a post committal hearing.

Michael John Bradley and Jacqueline Lyndsay Bradley appeared in the Auckland District Court today. Their next appearance will be 25 February 2011.
9 December 2010
The SFO today laid 87 charges under the Crimes Act against Michael John Bradley and Jacqueline Lyndsay Bradley, the co-directors of B’On Financial Services Ltd (B’On), for what is alleged to be the defrauding of approximately 85 investors of over $15 million. The investigation identified over 85 investors, but the charges relate to 24 investors in the period 2003 to 2009.

The SFO has mostly concluded its investigations into the affairs of B’On. The Director expects to be in a position to make a decision as to whether charges will be laid within the next four to six weeks.
