Online learning modules to strengthen fraud awareness
These training modules are a series of interactive online training tools available to help public servants understand and prevent fraud and corruption. Although this training is designed with the public sector in mind, the lessons are equally relevant to the private sector.
Developed in partnership with the Leadership Development Centre at Te Kawa Mataaho, these modules support a culture of integrity and accountability across the public sector.
Whether you are just starting out or brushing up your knowledge on fraud and corruption prevention, these bite-sized, practical modules make learning accessible, engaging and impactful. These short, focused modules can be viewed individually and, in any order, allowing you to tailor the learning to your needs. However, for a greater understanding, we recommend completing them in sequence.

Video: Confessions of a fraudster
In this video, you’ll hear the fictionalised account of “Heather Anne”, a former public servant who committed fraud from within a government agency. Through her story, you'll gain insight into how fraud can start small, escalate over time, and go unnoticed in environments with weak controls and misplaced trust. This video encourages viewers to reflect on the importance of vigilance, accountability and speaking up.
